Product care and maintenance

Maintenance:

You can't avoid your jewelery getting worn out if you wear it everyday, as many often do. You can often see it on the jewelry by the gilding slowly wearing down and your silver jewelry oxidizing and becoming dark and dirty to look at. However, you can make sure you take good care of your jewelery yourself and thus improve their lifespan. You do this by e.g. to take them off before playing sports, before taking a shower, before cleaning or before using creams and make-up. In this way, you protect your jewelery from a number of chemicals, sweat and creams that can react with the metal in the jewelery and thus extend the durability of the surface of your jewellery. It is also a good idea to take off your jewelery before you go to sleep to avoid unnecessary wear and tear.

When you are not wearing your jewelry, the best thing you can do is to store it in a closed jewelry box. This will prevent your jewelry from coming into unnecessary contact with oxygen and thus oxidizing less quickly.

Cleaning and polishing:

If your silver jewelery has worn down and become dirty and tiring to look at, you can clean it yourself. There are different ways to clean silver jewelry. The simplest thing is to soak them in warm water with a bit of soap, after a while you can pick them up and polish them with a polishing cloth. There are also products designed to clean oxidized silver jewellery.

However, it is important to remember not to brush your jewelery as this can scratch it. In addition, it is important to remember that if you want to clean jewelery that is gold-plated, you must be extra careful and the best thing you can do is only use water and a cleaning cloth, so that you avoid wearing out the gilding.
