Quality and stamps
Stamps
How do I know if it is appropriate that your jewelery is made of silver and gold and of good quality as you write on your website?
It is not always easy to see what materials jewelery is made of and whether they are of good quality or not. That is why Denmark has the precious metals control, which aims to check whether the jewelery sold is made of the genuine precious metals that they are claimed to be. The legislation states that if you sell jewelery in precious metals such as silver and gold, the jewelery must be stamped with two different stamps. An authenticity stamp that shows what the jewelery is made of, in our case the jewelery here at Ingeborg Jewelery is made of 925 sterling silver and therefore all jewelery is stamped with 925. In addition, it is a requirement that you must have a name stamp that shows who makes it and sell the jewelry. Our name stamp is the initials “IKM”, it is stamped in all jewelery according to legal requirements. The gold-plated jewelery is not stamped with a mark for gold, as it contains so little gold that it is not a legal requirement that it be stamped.
With the help of the precious metal control and the two stamps that you find in all my jewelry, you can be sure that the quality of my goods lives up to what I say.
